Norwich City are hoping to continue their positive form against promotion-favourites Leeds United at Carrow Road tonight.

Daniel Farke's side arrive in Norfolk hoping to maintain their strong Championship away record whilst Johannes Hoff Thorup is desperate for more improvement after back-to-back victories for the Canaries over Watford and Derby County.

It is the first meeting between the sides since Leeds hammered Norwich in the play-offs back in May. City have since replaced their head coach, while the Whites have seen a host of key players sold.

Farke, having led Leeds to Wembley but losing out on promotion to Russell Martin's Southampton, is under pressure to deliver a return to the Premier League this time around - and they having won four of their last matches, most recently a 3-0 victory over Coventry.

Leeds are yet to concede a goal on their travels - but will be without Ethan Ampadu, Max Wober, Isaac Schmidt, Manor Solomon and Daniel James for this evening's game.

Norwich are without striker Ashley Barnes who has suffered a setback on his comeback from an Achilles injury and could require more surgery. The experienced forward hasn't kicked a ball for City since May's 4-0 play-off drubbing to Leeds at Elland Road.

Christian Fassnacht and Jacob Sorensen have returned to the grass but won't feature in this week's double Carrow Road header, whilst Ben Chrisene will also miss out due to concussion protocol.

Onel Hernandez and Liam Gibbs remained sidelined until December, along with young winger Tony Springett, who has been unavailable for selection since the early part of pre-season.

Norwich haven't beaten Leeds at Carrow Road since Wes Hoolahan's farewell back in 2018 - with the Whites winning each of their last three visits to Carrow Road (minus the play-offs) by netting twice or more.

City are unbeaten in 21 matches in all competitions and will be hoping to extend their unbeaten home record to 11 months by avoiding defeat tonight.
