Thorup's men will be hoping to record back-to-back league wins for the first time this season and face a Swansea side that have also recorded just one victory in their opening four league matches under Luke Williams.
The City boss delivered an upbeat fitness bulletin ahead of their trip to Wales. Kenny McLean was withdrawn during Scotland's defeat to Portugal due to some hip pain, but the midfielder is expected to be fit enough to start this afternoon.
Josh Sargent was ruled out of the USA's second match against New Zealand earlier this week with 'left ankle irritation', but Thorup was hopeful that the talismanic striker would feature this afternoon, providing he trained as planned on Friday.
Otherwise, City remain without trio Ashley Barnes (calf), Christian Fassnacht (Achilles) and Jacob Sorensen (foot) for this contest, but otherwise boast a full squad.
The Swans are set to welcome back Liam Cullen after an ankle issue prior to the break with youngsters Sam Parker and Aimar Govea returning to training in the wake of their own injuries.
Kristian Pedersen won't feature against City this afternoon however, having been sidelined for a few weeks with an issue.
Williams took over at Swansea in January and has sought to implement a possession-based style familiar with what the club expect.
Only Leeds have made most passes than today's sides in the whole division, with Swansea ranking top for possession in the early gameweeks.
