Ken Aboh was among the scorers as Norwich City’s under-21s beat Peterborough 5-1 in a pre-season friendly.
The young striker started alongside Finley Welch, Uriah Djedje, Waylon Renecke, Jonathan Tomkinson and Emmanuel Adegboyega, all of whom have been involved with the Canaries’ first team this summer.
Aboh, former Manchester City prospect Dan Ogwuru (2), Charlie Wilson and new signing Theo Adelusi scored the goals as the young Canaries secured their third win of the summer, having beaten Gorleston and Wroxham without conceding.
They'll face Lincoln City on Tuesday at 7.45pm, before an East Anglian derby against Ipswich Town on Saturday, August 3. Alan Neilson's side round off their 2024-25 preparations with a trip to Las Palmas on August 10.
Some of City's young stars are expected to leave on loan deals before the August 30 transfer deadline, while others will be promoted to the first-team setup, with sporting director Ben Knapper keen to improve the club's academy pathway.
Brad Hills, Jaden Warner and Guilherme Montoia all played in the seniors' 1-0 defeat to Magdeburg last night.
Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup has said that this week's training camp in Austria will play a big part in his squad-thinning decisions, ahead of the start of the Championship season in less than two weeks' time
