Liverpool loan export Kaide Gordon makes his first start for Norwich City this evening when the Canaries face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

He comes in for midfield prospect Gabriel Forsyth after he sustained a knee injury in Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Cardiff, as Johannes Hoff Thorup makes only one change to his team.

Jacob Sorensen starts for the second time in four days despite having missed nearly two months with a foot injury, joined in midfield by countrymen Oscar Schwartau and Emiliano Marcondes.

That allows Gordon to play in his preferred right-wing position, while Ante Crnac again starts centrally in place of the injured Josh Sargent.

He’s set to miss eight weeks with a groin injury that requires surgery, adding to a whole host of players unavailable for selection at Carrow Road.

Angus Gunn won’t return from his side strain until after the upcoming international break, along with Marcelino Nunez and Onel Hernandez, who are both in the latter stages of recovery from hamstring issues.

Anis Ben Slimane also has a hamstring ailment and could return within a similar time frame, as Ashley Barnes nears team training for the first time this season.

Christian Fassnacht and Tony Springett make the squad, along with under-21s Elliot Myles and Lucien Mahovo, but are unlikely to receive significant game time given their fitness.
