Norwich City are gunning for revenge as they welcome struggling Plymouth Argyle to Carrow Road to kickstart a busy Easter weekend. 

David Wagner and his side are out to settle the score after Argyle inflicted a humiliating 6-2 defeat over them in September, with City's head coach admitting that has added an extra incentive to their preparations.

Norwich return after the international break looking to defend their spot in the top six and continue the momentum that has led to a sustained uplift in performances and results, culminating in a 3-0 victory over Stoke prior to the break. 

They return to Carrow Road hoping to make it seven straight home wins and to move closer to the target of points required to tee up a promotion shootout. 

City are boosted by the return of defender Shane Duffy, who is available again after missing the last eight matches with a calf injury. That has given Wagner a decision to make with Jacob Sorensen having performed well in the last two matches. 

Josh Sargent has also been given the all clear to feature in the matchday squad after withdrawing from international duty with the USA. Grant Hanley is expected to remain on an individual programme away from team training until at least the end of April. 

Jon Rowe's is also progressing from his hamstring injury and has returned to the grass to step up his recovery - he is thought to be close to a first-team return. 

Onel Hernandez (foot) and Dimi Giannoulis (hamstring) are set to be sidelined for the foreseeable future as City's season approaches its final furlong. 

Plymouth arrive at Carrow Road for the first time since March 2009 with head coach Ian Foster under severe pressure after a run of one win in their last 10 matches. 

Foster succeeded Steven Schumacher in December but has failed to win over supporters, who called for him to go after their 1-0 defeat to Preston before the pause in domestic action. He has survived the break, but will be desperate for a result to ease growing fears of relegation. 

This fixture begins an eight-game block that will decide City's fate - it is all in their hands at present.
